Multicultural night market with a Halloween edition featuring trick-or-treating, a DJ, costume contest, monster trucks and face painting.
Gatito Night Market is doing a Halloween and Monster Truck edition on Friday, October 30, at 4410 N Tryon Street. It's a multicultural market that usually brings the community together to support small businesses, and this time they're leaning into the holiday with a few additions that don't usually show up at a night market.
The Halloween side of things is pretty straightforward: trick-or-treating, a costume contest, and face painting. The monster trucks are the part that sticks out—they're sitting alongside the usual mix of small business owners, food trucks, street food vendors, and craft vendors. You'll find the same market setup you'd expect from Gatito, just with a costume contest and some oversized trucks thrown into the mix.

Between the booths, there's a DJ keeping things moving. The whole thing runs from 5 PM to 10 PM, so you can swing by after work or make a later night of it. It's free to attend, and the market itself is open to everyone, so you can just walk around and browse without needing a ticket. If you're coming with kids, the trick-or-treating and face painting are the obvious draws; if you're coming for the food and the shopping, the monster trucks are just a weird, fun addition to the background. It's at 4410 N Tryon Street in Charlotte, Friday, October 30, from 5 PM to 10 PM, and it's free to get in.
