A hands-on workshop where participants create their own Catrina or Catrín look with festive headpieces and decorations at South Boulevard Library.
South Boulevard Library is hosting a Día de los Muertos workshop on Tuesday, October 6, where you can put together your own Catrina or Catrín look. If you've ever wanted to try the tradition but didn't know where to start, this is a good place to get it sorted.
The focus is on the Catrina and Catrín—the iconic, elegantly dressed skeletons that have become symbols of the holiday. You'll be making festive headpieces and adding decorations to build out the look, so you'll walk away with something you can actually wear. It's a hands-on session, and the library provides the materials, which means you don't have to go out and hunt for supplies beforehand.
