Colby Acuff - The Handmade Horsepower Tour

Colby Acuff plays the Neighborhood Theatre Tap Room on Friday, October 16, starting at 8 PM. He's a fourth-generation Idaho native, and the country music he writes on his own draws on the life he's lived in his mountain home. He wrote his first three independently released albums entirely by himself, and his 2023 album Western White Pines came out on Sony Music Nashville, produced and engineered by Eddie Spear, who has also worked with Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, and Cody Jinks.

Acuff is currently on the road with Flatland Cavalry, and throughout the summer he'll be joining Luke Combs for stadium shows across the country. This Charlotte date puts him in a smaller room than those stadiums, with the set built around the songs he's been touring. The material comes from that same solo-written country he's been working on since his early independent records, and Western White Pines is the latest full-length to come out of it.

If you're not familiar with his background, he's an Idaho native through and through, and that mountain home is where his songwriting starts. He wrote his first three albums on his own before moving to Sony Music Nashville for Western White Pines, which Eddie Spear produced and engineered. Spear has a history of working with artists like Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, and Cody Jinks, and he brought that same approach to Acuff's latest record. The show is part of a touring schedule that has seen him on the road with Flatland Cavalry and opening stadium dates for Luke Combs throughout the summer.

The concert is on Friday, October 16, at the Neighborhood Theatre Tap Room, 511 E 36th St, Charlotte, NC 28205, with the music starting at 8 PM.
