Cinderella

The United European Ballet Company brings Cinderella to the Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts on Thursday, October 8, for a one-night-only performance. It's a Broadway-style ballet in two acts with one intermission, set to Sergei Prokofiev's score.

The story is the one you know: a kind-hearted heroine goes from adversity to a royal ball where her life changes. The production is built on hand-painted sets and costumes by leading European designers, and the dancing comes from an international cast of European artists. It's a classic told with a theatrical, stage-focused approach rather than a stripped-down one, and the Prokofiev score carries the whole thing.

Since it's a single night, this is the only chance to catch it in Charlotte. The show starts at 7 PM at the Knight Theater, 121 Levine Avenue of the Arts, and tickets start at $59.52.
