Annual book festival with independent authors, vendors, author panels, signings, a live DJ and family-friendly activities at Truist Field.
Charlotte BookPalooza returns to Truist Field on Saturday, October 10, from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's the third annual edition of the festival, which has grown every year and is expected to be the largest one yet. The day is organized by Books on the House, a nonprofit book collective that's given away more than 102,000 free books since March 2023 and launched a book mobile that same year, serving children and adults across Charlotte, Lake Norman, and the Western North Carolina region.
There's a lot to do throughout the day. More than 85 authors will be there, with over 60 vendors, local bookshops, and nonprofits filling the field. You'll find author panels and signings, a live DJ, and a Book Bestie Meet Up at the Home Plate Club from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Beyond the books, there's a Book Bestie Break Lounge, cosplay and fandom fun, character moments and photo ops, a Fourth Wing-inspired parapet, a place to "park your partner" while you shop, and a Read to a Rescue station where you can read to a rescue dog. The first 250 people through the gates get a free swag bag.
