An annual pottery festival featuring over 80 local ceramic artists, food vendors, live music, and a raffle.
Carolina Clay Matters is hosting its Fall Pottery Festival on Saturday, October 10, from 10 AM to 4 PM at 8300 Monroe Road in South Charlotte. It's an annual event put on by the Carolina Clay Matters Pottery Guild, and this year it returns to its original location.
The main draw is the work of more than 80 local artists. The guild brings together seasoned professionals and emerging ceramicists from across the greater Charlotte area, so you'll see a wide range of experience and style in one room. The selection covers a lot of ground: handcrafted clay for the kitchen and dining room, creative and unique jewelry, ceramic art for the home, walls and garden, and holiday décor. The organizers like to say that if it can be made from clay, you'll find it here.
Beyond the pottery, there are food vendors, coffee, flowers, live music and a raffle running throughout the day. It's the kind of afternoon you can spend as long or as short as you like, whether you're there to browse for something specific or just to hang out and see what the local clay community is making.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Charlotte and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
