Burlesque 3000

Burlesque 3000 returns to the Booth Playhouse on Friday, October 30, the night before Halloween. It's a brand new show each Halloween Eve, and this one is presented by QC MEDIA CLT.

Since 2022, the production has drawn professional burlesque dancers from across the country to pay homage to an art form that shaped dance, theatre, and film, and helped drive the sexual liberation of women through the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. It's not just dancers on stage, though. The show brings together magicians, aerialists, jugglers, comedians, actors, musicians, and dancers, and it's grown into a fast-paced, fun-filled evening of surprises, satire, and laughs. The Booth Playhouse itself is a venue reminiscent of the days when burlesque was at its height, which fits the whole mood.

One thing to keep in mind before you buy: the show is for ages 21 and over, and it features nudity, political satire, and adult language. If that's your speed, it's a good way to kick off a Halloween weekend in Uptown.

It runs at 7:30 PM at the Booth Playhouse at Blumenthal Arts Center (Founders Hall), 130 North Tryon Street, Uptown Charlotte, NC 28202. Tickets start at $47.02.
