Concert by praise and worship leader Abbie Gamboa performing her 'Have You Ever Looked Around' tour at the Neighborhood Theatre.
Abbie Gamboa is playing the Neighborhood Theatre on Wednesday, October 21, as part of her Have You Ever Looked Around tour. It's a mid-week date, and she's the sole bill for the night, so the whole set is hers.
Gamboa is a worship leader, and that's the core of what she does. The tour title, Have You Ever Looked Around, points to the kind of music she's known for—songs written for a congregation to sing along with, rather than just to listen to. If you've followed her work, you know the sound: melodic, faith-driven, and built around the kind of hooks that stick after one listen. This is a tour built around that material, and the Charlotte stop is one of the dates on the run.
She'll be performing in the Neighborhood Theatre's Main Room, which puts her right in the heart of the venue. The set is her own, and as a worship leader, she's used to leading a room through a sequence of songs, so the night will follow that same flow. It's a chance to hear her material live in a room where you can actually see her, rather than through a screen or a recording.
