Stand-up comedy show by Tez Ilyas, the UK's leading de-influencer, with fresh jokes and furious rants.
Tez Ilyas brings his new stand-up show, Tez Things I Hate About You, to the Wales Millennium Centre on Saturday 21 November. It's his first Cardiff date since travelling the world, and he's returning with fresh jokes, furious rants and ridiculous stories delivered in his usual smart, silly and subversive style.
He's billing himself as the UK's leading 'de-influencer', and the persona he's leaning into this time is that of the 'grumpiest uncle in showbiz'. He also describes himself as a top husband and 'bunny-stepdad'. If you've seen him before, you'll recognise the tone: a mix of sharp observation and a willingness to be a bit of a fool, all held together by a particular kind of high-energy complaining.
Beyond the stage, he's a familiar face from Man Like Mobeen on BBC Three, Live at the Apollo on BBC Two and Fighting Talk on BBC Radio 5 Live. He's also the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Secret Diary of a British Muslim Aged 13 ¾. This is just one of many shows he's put on over the years, following Human Appeal, After Eight, The Vicked Tour, Gags, Songs & Bombs, TEZ Talks, Made in Britain, Teztify and Before Eight.
