Live wildlife spectacle with Steve Backshall, featuring stunts, experiments and predators, for the Autumn half-term.
Steve Backshall brings Deadly Live! to Utilita Arena Cardiff on Wednesday 28 October, a family show that takes his CBBC series onto the stage. It follows on from the 2025 tour, and if you've watched him on screen, you've got a fair idea of what to expect: Backshall is the explorer, adventurer and presenter who fronts Deadly 60, Live and Deadly, Deadly 360 and Deadly Art.
On stage, he takes the audience on a run of adventures with daring stunts, experiments and cutting-edge science, all while tracking down some of the world's most formidable predators. The animals cover land, sea and sky, from big cats and birds of prey to Dinomania dinosaurs and snakes. It's an immersive show, so you're not just watching from the seats — the whole room gets pulled into it. Reviewers have called it educational and entertaining, funny with slapstick and suitable for all ages, which makes it a decent shout for the Autumn half-term if you're looking for something to do with the kids.

It's a matinee, so you'll be out well before dinner. Doors open at 13:00 and the show starts at 14:00, with Utilita Arena Cardiff as the venue. If you're planning to go, keep in mind it's a Wednesday afternoon in the middle of the half-term break, so you'll want to get your tickets sorted early.
