The sixth round of the Aqua Adrenaline Tour brings powerboat, aquabike and ProCat racing to Cardiff Bay, organised by the OCRDA.
The OCRDA Powerboat, Water Skiing and Jet Ski event takes over Cardiff Bay on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, with racing running from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm both days. It's the sixth round of the OCRDA's Aqua Adrenaline Tour, and the Bay is the stage for powerboat, aquabike and ProCat racing across the water.
The Cardiff Harbour Authority is running the event as part of its National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Flat Holm – A Walk Through Time. It's a good fit for the Bay, which is built around a 200-hectare freshwater lake and brings its own calendar of attractions to the city's sporting profile.
Cardiff itself has a long history of hosting big sport. The city is home to some of the UK's most iconic stadiums and has put on its fair share of international events over the years: the 2012 Olympics, the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final and the 2018 Volvo Ocean Race. This is another one for that list, just on the water instead of in a stadium.
