An evening of drag, performance art and showtunes from Midgitte Bardot, the drag alter-ego of performance artist Tamm Reynolds, part of the Wales Millennium Centre Cabaret series.
Midgitte Bardot is playing the Wales Millennium Centre on Friday 16 October, their first Cardiff date. It's an evening of drag, performance art and showtunes, and the night is part of the Centre's Cabaret series.
Midgitte is the subversive drag alter-ego of performance artist Tamm Reynolds. They've been performing across the UK for a decade, from Wilderness Festival and the Royal Court Theatre to Liverpool's dive bars, and recently completed a sold-out run of the solo show Shooting From Below at the Southbank Centre. In 2023, with producer and curator Willy Amott, they launched a regular interdisciplinary performance programme and good old knees-up in London. This Cardiff appearance brings that same mix of drag, performance art and what they describe as radical weirdness to the city for the first time.
The night is billed as Midgitte Bardot's Personal Spot, and the line-up is Midgitte with special guests. It's an 18+ night, and the seating is unreserved, so you'll just take whatever's free when you arrive. There are also free tickets for carers and companions under the Hynt access scheme.
