A musical tribute to Live Aid, featuring iconic songs from Bob Dylan, David Bowie, U2, Queen and more, performed by an ensemble of rockstars.
Just For One Day: The Live Aid Musical runs at the Donald Gordon Theatre in the Wales Millennium Centre from 20 to 24 April 2027. It's an Olivier-nominated musical that brings back the most iconic songs from the original Live Aid gig, performed by an ensemble of rockstars. The set draws from the day's biggest names — Bob Dylan, David Bowie, U2, Queen and more — and it's staged more than 40 years on from the original concert.
Before it comes to Cardiff, the show has toured the UK and Ireland, following two sell-out seasons in the West End. A percentage of all ticket sales goes to The Band Aid Charitable Trust, which has raised 1.6 million so far.
There are a few access performances built into the run: British Sign Language on 22 April, a Captioned Performance on 23 April, and an Audio Described Performance on 24 April, with a Touch Tour that same afternoon. Age guidance is 12+ (no under 2s), and all under 16s need to be seated with an adult aged 18 or above. A few warnings for the night: loud music, flashing lights, haze and strong language.
