Joe Lycett returns to the stage with a show built around the idea that he is finally unleashed, with a BSL interpreted performance on 20 August.
Joe Lycett is coming to the New Theatre in Cardiff on Thursday 19 August 2027, with his new show Do You Really Lycett?. It's part of a long tour that kicks off on 1 April 2027 and runs through to 5 February 2028, so the Cardiff date falls right in the middle of the run.
Lycett describes the show as being built around the idea that he's finally unleashed: he says he was leashed, and now the leash has been removed. As for what that actually looks like on stage, he's promising jokes, a sprinkling of social justice, stories about being a father, and a bit about his time on Celebrity Traitors. It's a fair mix of the personal and the political, and if you've followed his work, that's pretty much where he usually lands.

One thing to keep in mind is that there's a second date for the BSL interpreted performance on Friday 20 August, so if you need that, you'll want to look at the Friday rather than the Thursday. Between the two, you've got a choice of nights. The Cardiff dates are just one stop on a tour that spans nearly a year, starting in April 2027 and going on until February 2028.
