A night of queer stand-up comedy hosted by Lee Peart, featuring Dee Allum, Pravanya Pillay and Louise Young.
Gagged! A Queer Comedy Night comes to the Cabaret at the Wales Millennium Centre on Sunday 25 October, bringing a slice of the UK's queer stand-up circuit to Cardiff Bay. It's billed as a night of sharp wit and camp chaos, and the line-up is a good mix of names from across the circuit.
Lee Peart hosts the evening, and he's a familiar face on the circuit as the co-host of Bottoms Up with Alan Carr. He's joined by Dee Allum, an award-winning stand-up and writer whose debut show, Deadname, took her to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024 and on to London's Soho Theatre; she's also appeared in ITV's The Stand Up Sketch Show. Pravanya Pillay is on the bill too, with work that's been on BBC Three's Asian Network Comedy and Comedy Central's Rhod Gilbert's Growing Pains. And then there's Louise Young, a half-Geordie, half-Turkish comedian who made her Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2023 with Feral and has supported the likes of Jason Manford and Alan Carr.

It's a night for ages 18 and over, with unreserved seating in the Cabaret, so you'll want to get in a bit early if you're particular about where you sit. The show starts at 7pm, with doors opening at 6pm, so there's plenty of time to find your spot before the first act takes the stage. Between the Fringe runs, the TV credits and the support slots, there's a fair bit of experience on one bill.
