A relaxed, BSL-led board game session run by Deaf Gathering Cymru in the café, with no booking needed and donations welcome.
Deaf Gathering Cymru are hosting a board game session at Chapter on Sunday 8 November, starting at 11.00am. It's a relaxed morning in the café, with a range of board games on the table and a BSL-led approach to the whole thing.
For those who aren't familiar, Deaf Gathering Cymru is a BSL-led organisation, and this session follows that same lead. The games are the main event, and the BSL-led format means the space is designed around the Deaf community. If you're a BSL user, you'll find yourself right at home; if you're not, it's a good way to spend a Sunday morning in a space that does things differently.
One of the best bits is that there's no booking needed. You don't have to plan your weekend around it or worry about grabbing a ticket in advance — you can just turn up when you fancy and join in. It's a drop-in affair, so you can stay for one game or settle in for the whole morning. Donations are welcome, which helps keep things running, but there's no set price to get through the door.
