A special edition of The Thursday Show by tactileBOSCH within the Experimentica 2026 programme, featuring BSL interpretation and celebrating the legacy of Brith Gof and Test Dept.
tactileBOSCH take over Chapter on Thursday 22 October for a special edition of The Thursday Show, an evening that brings artists together to experiment and develop ideas across performance, sound, movement and installation. It's a night built on the open-ended side of things, with the focus on the process of making rather than a finished, polished product. Claire Anderson provides BSL interpretation throughout.
The show sits within the wider Experimentica 2026 programme, led by artist Martin O'Brien, which runs over three days and works with Wales-based artists Monnie Pyne, Nia Gandhi, Benjamin Turpin, Kath Ashill, Glyn Owen, Jenny Alderton, Urussa Malik and Eres See, staged as processions or crossings across the building. This particular edition also reunites the artists behind Brith Gof and Test Dept's 1988 production Gododdin, a landmark in Welsh performance and music history, to celebrate the relaunch of its soundtrack, remastered and expanded with new material. It's a bit of a double-bill in that sense: new work being tested on the night, and a look back at a piece of Welsh performance history coming back into the light.
If you're not familiar with the setup, The Thursday Show is exactly what it sounds like — a space for artists to bring in work-in-progress and let it breathe in front of an audience. It's less about a set list and more about seeing how things are coming together, so it's a good one to drop into if you're interested in the making as much as the result. Between the new experiments and the Gododdin reunion, there's a fair bit of ground covered in one evening.
