Cardiff Rugby host the Hollywoodbets Sharks in Round 4 of the 2026/27 BKT United Rugby Championship at the historic Cardiff Arms Park.
Cardiff Rugby take on the Hollywoodbets Sharks at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday 23 October, with kick-off at 19:45. It's a Round 4 match in the 2026/27 BKT United Rugby Championship, and the Sharks are coming over from South Africa for it.
There's a bit of a story to the fixture list this year. The full schedule for the 2026/27 season was released on 25 September 2026, 129 days before Round 1 — the earliest the league has ever put its dates out. URC CEO Martin Anayi called it a major achievement for fan certainty, and the competition continues to use Ligalytics, a German sports data and scheduling firm, to build the calendar. For the South African teams, the season is built around three two-game URC tours each, so this is one of those trips that brings them over to Wales.

As for how the league works this year, the top eight teams progress to the Play-Offs, with the Grand Final set for Saturday 19 June 2027. That means this is still early doors — Round 4 — so there's plenty of rugby left to play before the business end of the season kicks in. The match is at Cardiff Arms Park on Westgate Street, CF10 1JA, with kick-off at 19:45 on Friday night.
