Andy Zaltzman returns with his stand-up review of the global year, for the first time this decade.
Andy Zaltzman is back at the Sherman Theatre on Friday 29 January 2027, with The Certifiable History. It's his stand-up review of the global year, and the first time he's done it this decade, so it's a bit of a return to form for him.
If you're not familiar with his work, Zaltzman is a British comedian known for political comedy built on surreal similes. He's a regular at the Edinburgh Festival, and he's worked with John Oliver on several projects, including The Bugle, the weekly satirical podcast he co-presented for TimesOnline. He's also presented on BBC Radio's Test Match Special and writes a regular cricket blog for Cricinfo, so the sports side of things runs alongside the political satire.
Critics have been pretty generous with him over the years. Katy King of Three Weeks called him 'a masterful comedian', and Time Out went even further, describing him as 'probably the best satirical comic we've produced in the last two decades'.
