Stand-up comedy show by Andrew Bird, voted Comic's Comic - Best Act, in the Cabaret theatre.
Andrew Bird brings his On the Edge tour to the Cabaret at the Wales Millennium Centre on Saturday 20 February 2027. It's a brand-new stand-up show, so you'll be seeing fresh material rather than a run-back of old bits.
Bird has spent the last few years working alongside some of the biggest names in comedy. He recently supported Russell Howard on his national tour, which included four dates at The London Palladium, and has backed Rob Brydon, America's Brian Regan and Michelle Wolfe on their only London shows. He also joined Michael McIntyre on an arena tour that took in Wembley and the O2. Beyond the support slots, he was one of only seven comedians to perform in front of Banksy at Dismal Land, and he wrote on the recent series of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
That last bit is a good way to get a sense of where he sits: he's as comfortable in a writers' room as he is on stage. The industry has taken notice, too — at The UK Comedy Awards 2023, he was voted Comic's Comic - Best Act, the award given by fellow comedians. This is a new show, so it's a chance to see him out front rather than as a support act.
