A soul and R&B night featuring Yellow Days, Yuuf and Amri, closing the Down Stokes 2026 festival.
Yellow Days play Trinity on Sunday 18 October, the closing night of the Down Stokes 2026 festival. It's a soul and R&B bill, with Yellow Days headlining and two support acts opening the evening.
Yellow Days is the project of George van den Broek, who's been working in this space since his 2016 EP Harmless Melodies. He's built a reputation around a smoky vocal style and a sound that pulls from jazz, R&B, funk and soul. His latest album, Rock And A Hard Place, pairs rich live instrumentation with cinematic production, and the influences run deep: Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder and Gil Scott-Heron all figure into the mix. He'll be playing with a full live band behind him.
Opening the night are Yuuf, described as world music explorers known for lush, dreamlike soundscapes, and Amri, a Bristol rising star whose fusion of soul, jazz and R&B is gaining attention. Between the three, the bill covers a fair bit of ground within the soul and R&B orbit, from Amri's local jazz-inflected sound to Yuuf's more atmospheric approach.
