Canadian rock band The Sheepdogs perform live at Trinity Arts Centre in Bristol.
The Sheepdogs play Trinity Arts Centre on Monday 16 November, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. They're a Canadian rock band from Saskatoon, four JUNO Award winners who blend rock 'n' roll, roots and blues with harmonies that evoke Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and other Laurel Canyon ghosts. Their sound is built on those harmonies and dual-guitar wizardry, and it's taken them from bars and roadhouses to festival fields and arenas worldwide across 13 releases.
Among those releases are the companion EPs Paradise Alone and Hell Together. Frontman Ewan Currie produced Paradise Alone at Southern Grooves in Memphis, and the band's new single 'Nobody But You' is billed as the first taste of new music to come. They've got a bit of a story behind them too: they made history as Rolling Stone's first unsigned cover stars, and after leaving the major-label world and buying back their masters, they now release music on their own label, Right On Records.
