Cloudbusting perform The Kate Bush Song Book, a live tribute to Kate Bush's music with Mandy Watson on vocals and Matthew Bowers on piano.
Cloudbusting bring The Kate Bush Song Book to the Tobacco Factory Theatres on Monday 12 October, their tribute to Kate Bush's music. They've been touring theatres and music venues across the UK and Europe since 2012, and they describe it as the longest-running and most applauded live tribute to her work. The set draws from across her 45-year career, pairing arrangements of some of her lesser-known tracks with the hits the audience comes for: Wuthering Heights, Babooshka, Hounds of Love and Cloudbusting. Alongside those are piano-led pieces like This Woman's Work, Moments of Pleasure and The Man With The Child In His Eyes.
The line-up on the night is Mandy Watson on vocals, Matthew Bowers on piano and Dave Roberts on bass. They're joined by three of Kate Bush's original collaborators: drummer Preston Heyman, dancer Stewart Avon Arnold and bassist Del Palmer. It's a show recommended for ages 12 and over, and Mick Wall of Classic Rock Magazine called it 'utterly, surreally brilliant'.
