Concert by The Clause, a British alternative rock band from Birmingham, at the Trinity venue.
The Clause play Trinity on Friday 13 November, from 7:00pm to 10:30pm. They're a British alternative rock band from Birmingham, formed in the 2010s and fronted by Pearce 'Macca', Liam Deakin, Jonny Fyffe and Niall Fennell. The night is a standing show, so you'll be on your feet for the set.
Their sound blends indie rock, funk and rhythm and blues, and they describe it as drawing on 1960s swagger, 1980s groove and 1990s attitude. That mix puts them in a bit of a crossover spot: the 60s swagger suggests the mod-influenced guitar bands of the era, the 80s groove brings in the danceable, bass-led side of funk, and the 90s attitude points towards the brashness of the Britpop and indie years. It's a fair bit to pull together, but that's exactly what they're aiming for.
