Indie rock band The Big Moon perform live at Trinity, with Kamran Khan as support, in a standing-only venue.
The Big Moon play Trinity on Sunday 22 November, part of a wider UK tour that takes them to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London. They're a British indie rock band formed in London in 2014 around frontwoman Juliette Jackson, and the Bristol date is one of several stops they're making across the country.
Their second album, Walking Like We Do, came out in January 2020 and was described as a coming-of-age record, built of bold songs for Saturday nights and sad songs for Sunday mornings, held together by the band's unusually jubilant bond. That's the kind of record that sits comfortably in both camps — the louder, more outgoing side of indie rock and the quieter, more reflective end of it — and it's the one that's been a good part of their story since it arrived.
On the night, they're supported by Kamran Khan, so there's an opening act to warm things up before they take over. The show is standing only, with last entry two hours before the curfew, and a £1 Restoration Levy added to every ticket.
