Ted Hill's comedy show about fitting in, standing out and self-acceptance, with multimedia and PowerPoint.
Ted Hill brings his show 110% Weird to The Gaffe Comedy Club on Wednesday 24 February. It's a comedy night about fitting in, standing out and self-acceptance, and it's not your usual stand-up set. Hill is an autistic comedian whose stage persona leans into the strange and chaotic, and he mixes the comedy with multimedia, over-engineered technology and a surprising amount of facts about birds of prey. He also recreates the set he would have performed for the King at the Royal Variety Performance.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, you might remember him from Britain's Got Talent, where he reached the finals and famously lost to a dog. Since then, he's picked up praise from Simon Cowell, Ant and Dec, The Scotsman and Chortle. 110% Weird is his take on fitting in and standing out, and the multimedia and PowerPoint are as much a part of it as the jokes.
The Gaffe Comedy Club bills itself as Bristol's home of comedy, putting on stand-up nights every week with telly headliners and local legends alongside its work as a podcast studio. Hill is the sole name on the bill for this one, so it's his show from start to finish.
