Kevin Figes presents Sound Dimensions, blending orchestral textures, improvisation and electronic sound with the Bristol Ensemble and Brigitte Beraha.
Kevin Figes brings Sound Dimensions to Lantern Hall at the Bristol Beacon on Monday 2 November, with doors opening at 20:00. He's a saxophonist and composer, and this is an ambitious new project built around works inspired by three pioneering figures of 20th-century Italian music. On the night, he'll be joined by the Bristol Ensemble and Brigitte Beraha, blending orchestral textures, improvisation and electronic sound.
2026 has been a breakthrough year for Sound Dimensions. Figes took the project onto the stage with debut US performances at Newport Jazz and Montreal, and his biggest headline show to date at London's Roundhouse. The Beacon date is the next stop on that run, bringing the whole thing to Bristol. The performance is listed as a standing show open to all ages, so it's one you can bring younger people along to if you're taking the family.
