American emo rock band Saves the Day perform their 'Stay What You Are 25th Anniversary Tour' at the Trinity Centre, supported by Chastity and Turn Of Phrase.
Saves the Day play the Trinity Centre on Tuesday 17 November, with Chastity and Turn Of Phrase opening the night. The New Jersey rock band has been around since the late nineties, and this date is part of their Stay What You Are 25th Anniversary Tour.
If you've never come across them, they're from Princeton, New Jersey, and have spent over two decades as a byword for the emo sound. Frontman Chris Conley has always written from a place of open-book emotional vulnerability, and the songs he's built around that have soundtracked a million lives around the world. Albums like 1999's Through Being Cool still carry anthems of love, heartbreak and adventure, and they're the kind of records that helped define the sound for a whole generation of listeners.
For this tour, the line-up is rounded out by Arun Bali on guitar and vocals and Rodrigo Palma on bass, so it's Conley and two others on stage. The night is standing only, and it's restricted to over-14s, with under-16s required to be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 19:00, and the show is expected to finish around 23:00.
