Dublin folk duo Lemoncello perform their blend of Irish folk and indie pop, supported by The Architect.
Lemoncello play The Architect on Wednesday 14 October, with the night starting at 7:00 PM. They're a Dublin duo, Laura Quirke and Claire Kinsella, and the sound they build together is a blend of Irish folk roots and off-kilter indie pop. It's carried by a minimal, dramatic arrangement: finger-picked guitar and gritty cello, with the two of them doing the heavy lifting.
They've been picking up recognition back home, with nominations for Best Folk Song and Best Emerging Folk Act at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards. That's translated into a fair bit of stage time across Ireland and beyond — they've played Dublin's Vicar Street, The Irish Arts Centre in New York, and London's Bush Hall. Along the way, they've opened for Lisa O'Neill, Sam Amidon, Glen Hansard, and Cormac Begley, so they're well-acquainted with the folk circuit.
