Josh Rouse brings his warm, observant songwriting to Bristol Beacon, drawing on folk, roots rock and classic pop, with special guest Kathryn Williams.
Josh Rouse plays Bristol Beacon on Wednesday 3 February 2027, with Kathryn Williams supporting. Rouse is an American roots and melodic folk singer who first appeared with his 1998 debut Dressed Up Like Nebraska, which Billboard called a 'dark horse gem'. He started recording after settling in Tennessee, and his music blends folk elements with melodic storytelling shaped by an upbringing across several states.
Since that debut, he's released thirteen more critically acclaimed albums, played venues from Glastonbury to Massey Hall, and won a Goya Award for his song 'Do You Really Want To Be In Love'. The new album he's touring, Museums and Women, was recorded in Nashville with longtime collaborator Brad Jones. It turns fleeting encounters and moments from life on the road into tender, cinematic songs full of quiet humour, romance and longing.
