Stand-up comedy show by Grace Jarvis at The Gaffe Comedy Club.
Grace Jarvis plays The Gaffe Comedy Club on Sunday 8 November, with the show titled Getting Dragged Backwards Through a Hedge. It's a stand-up night in the city centre, and Jarvis is the main feature.
If you haven't come across the venue yet, The Gaffe Comedy Club is one of Bristol's newest dedicated comedy spots, sitting on the edge of Broadmead and Bristol Old City. It's a proper comedy room rather than a pub backroom, and it runs almost every night of the week. The programming covers a fair bit of ground, from up-and-coming underground acts to the bigger touring headliners who take the late-night weekend slots.
Jarvis takes the stage on a Sunday, and the title Getting Dragged Backwards Through a Hedge gives you a fair idea of the kind of night it's meant to be. It's a stand-up show, so that's the whole of it: Jarvis on stage, the audience in front, and the set built around her material. The Gaffe's position right on the edge of Broadmead makes it an easy one to get to, whether you're coming from the shopping centre or from the Old City side.
