TV Priest

TV Priest play The Green Door Store on Thursday 28 January, part of their 2027 UK tour following the release of their album Cartoons. It's a single-band bill, so the whole night is theirs.

They come from the outskirts of London, a group whose members have been close friends since they were young and first started making music together as teenagers. That long-term connection sits at the heart of what they do. Their sound has been described as awash in a spectral tone somewhere between post-punk, prog and kraut-rock, and they cite PiL, Stereolab, Ought and The Fall among their formative influences. If those names ring a bell, you've got a good idea of the territory they're working in: the jagged edges of post-punk, the motorik pulse of kraut-rock, and a bit of the experimental, sprawling side of things.

Cartoons is the record they're touring, and the Brighton date is one stop on a run of UK shows around it. The set will be built from that new material, so it's a good chance to hear the songs as they were intended to be played live.

Doors open at 19:00, and tickets are £15.75. One thing to keep in mind: the show is for 18+ only.
