Stagelight Productions are bringing Thursday Night to The Lantern Theatre on 29 and 30 October, two nights only. It's a brand new comedy musical about a Halloween party in Hove Park that goes spectacularly wrong.
Aether (pronounced 'ay-ther') and seven friends have the costumes sorted and the drinks gathered, and everything is supposed to go to plan. Then a dealer, a party crasher, a girl who bolted from Lewes, and a guy who definitely should not have taken mushrooms turn the night into a comedy of errors. George Bowen and Henry Mason wrote the book, music and lyrics, and they describe it as a show about growing up, the importance of a good group chat, and why nobody ever just goes home when they say they will. Daisy Howlin did the set and costume design.
The Lantern Theatre is in Kemptown, 77 St James's Street, BN2 1PA. It's a versatile space that hires out year-round for plays, musical theatre, opera, comedy, performance art and cabaret. The show runs two hours and twenty minutes, including a twenty-minute interval, and is recommended for ages 16 and above. It features loud music, sudden sound effects and strobe lighting.

Both nights start at 19:30. Tickets are £10 full price and £6 for concessions, which covers students and under 18s.
