The production takes place in the green space of Dyke Road Park, offering a setting where the audience can settle in with a blanket and a picnic while watching the story unfold. The narrative follows Peter and his cousin Benjamin as they venture into Mr. McGregor’s garden, encountering various obstacles like a cat and the gardener himself, while the audience waits to see if Mr. Bunny arrives in time to help them. It is a straightforward retelling of the classic story, focusing on the characters' attempts to navigate the risks of the garden.

The performances are scheduled for Saturday 15th August and Sunday 16th August 2026, with two sessions each day at 13:00 and 16:00. The show lasts for approximately 90 minutes, and the venue gates open an hour before the start time, allowing people to find their spot in the park before the performance begins. Regarding the costs, tickets are priced at ÂŁ14.00 for children and ÂŁ15.00 for adults. There is also a family ticket option available for four people at ÂŁ45.00. Given the outdoor nature of the Brighton Open Air Theatre, the experience is dependent on the weather, but the setup allows for a relaxed afternoon in the park for those interested in this particular adaptation of the classic tales. It is worth noting that the theatre is a local fixture, and this production fits into their broader schedule of open-air events throughout the season.
