The Secret Comedy Club Saturdays

The Secret Comedy Club is back with its Saturday night bill on 10 October, at The Secret Comedy Club on 42 Brighton Square. The line-up for this one is Tadiwa Mahlunge and Michael Fabbri, and like every other Saturday here, they're part of a fresh bill with a new headliner and MC each week.

If you haven't been, it's worth knowing what the club is. It's Brighton & Hove's only room running five nights a week, and it holds the Audience Choice Award for Best Fringe Venue. It's a small room, and it leans into that — it's a friendlier, safer alternative to the city's larger comedy venues, and it backs that up with a strict no-heckling policy to keep the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The booking is age 16+.

Over the years, the club has drawn on a wide range of UK talent, hosting acts like Dane Baptiste, Sean Walsh, Paul McCaffrey, Zoe Lyons, Henning Wehn and Fiona Allen, many of whom have appeared on Live at the Apollo. That's the kind of room it is: a small, regular spot that brings in names you'll recognise from the telly alongside the newer faces.

The show runs from 8:10pm to 10:30pm, and tickets start from £2.75.
