A night of stand-up comedy at The Secret Comedy Club, a popular venue in Brighton known for its friendly atmosphere.
The Secret Comedy Club runs its Friday night series at Artista, 42 Brighton Square, throughout the late summer and autumn. It's one of the city's most consistent rooms: the only comedy club in Brighton that operates every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, so there's almost always a night on if you're looking for something. The club describes itself as Brighton & Hove's best small comedy club and it's a former Audience Choice Award winner for Best Fringe Venue, and it positions itself as a safer and friendlier alternative to the larger venues around town.
The Friday line-up changes each week, with a different headliner and an MC to hold the room. On 25 August, Stephanie Laing headlines with MC Martin Warren. He stays on for the following week, 4 September, when Joe Wells takes over. On 11 September, Aidan Jones steps in with MC Adam Greene, and Marlon Davis headlines on 18 September. The club continues into October with dates on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd, so there are plenty of Fridays to choose from if you can't make the first few.

Logistically, it's a straightforward night. The shows run from 19:00 to 22:30, though that changes slightly from 9 October when the start moves to 20:00, with the same 22:30 finish. Standard tickets are £12.00, and the venue is Artista at 42 Brighton Square, BN1 4HD, right in the heart of the city.
