Weekly open mic night for new material with professional, semi-professional and amateur comedians, also known as See You Next Tuesday.
The Secret Comedy Club Open Mic returns to Artista on Tuesday 27 October, and it's a weekly one, so if you miss this session there's another the following Tuesday. It's also known as See You Next Tuesday, which is a bit of a nod to the night's regular slot in the calendar.
It's billed as Brighton's longest running and most popular comedy open mic, and the leading new-material and open-mic night on the South Coast. That's the core of what it is: a night for new material. If you've seen a comic on a proper bill and liked them, this is the kind of place where they're likely to be testing out the bits that'll end up in their next show. The format is fast-paced, and the line-up is a mix of professional, semi-professional and amateur comedians, so you'll get a good range of experience on one bill. It's described as a place to see some of the best comics on the open circuit live, and because it's an open mic, the material is often raw and being worked through in front of you.
