Weekend launch of The Living Room with yoga, movement classes, music and a disco.
The Living Room opens its doors in Brighton on Friday 4 September, with a launch weekend that runs through to Saturday 5 September. It's a new space for joyful movement, good music and genuine connection, and the opening is built around that: yoga, movement classes, music and a disco.
There's a specific way they talk about what happens inside. They describe it as a place where you can move, laugh, sweat, dance, rest and simply be yourself. The ethos they're working to is that movement should be fun, rather than something the body needs to be 'fixed' โ a space to flow, stretch, dance and rest without needing to be good at anything. If that sounds like a bit of a departure from the usual way we think about exercise, that's exactly the point they're making.
The launch itself is spread across two days. Friday 4 September runs from 18:00 to 22:00, and Saturday 5 September goes from 10:00 to 16:00. Between the two, you've got the yoga, the movement classes, the music and the disco. You can drop in for a bit of the active side and stay for the music, or just come along for the disco when the energy picks up.
