A musical tribute to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong performed by a live band in the intimate setting of The Brunswick.
The Jazz Room: A Frank Sinatra & Louis Armstrong Tribute comes to The Brunswick on Saturday 10 October, with the music starting at 18:30. It's a double bill of sorts, bringing together the legacies of two of the biggest names in jazz and popular music in one night. The set draws from both their catalogues, so you'll hear Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon and My Way alongside Armstrong's What a Wonderful World and When You're Smiling, with plenty more in between.
The songs are reimagined by a live band and played in an intimate room, rather than as a large-scale production. The Brunswick itself is a grassroots music venue and pub with a capacity of 150, housed in a distinctive 1938 building known for its turreted bays. It's a space that usually programmes open mic nights and jazz jams alongside its live bills, so it fits the bill for a night of standards.
