The Dualers, a nine-piece reggae and ska outfit, bring their high-energy, all-embracing performances to Chalk in Brighton.
The Dualers play Chalk on Saturday 12 June 2027, starting at 6:00pm. They're a nine-piece reggae and ska outfit from South East London, and they describe their live shows as high-energy and all-embracing.
At the core of the band are the Cranstoun brothers, Si and Tyber, who started out busking around the south east. They've since built a following of nearly 10,000 fans, with more than 4 million people seeing them on the street and over 35,000 copies of their first two CDs sold on the pavement. The ska and soul they play were brought to London by their father, Bill Cranstoun, who ran the Savoy Sound System at Croydon and south London venues like the Swan & Sugar Loaf, The King Alfred and The Bedford Arms.
Their debut single, 'Kiss On The Lips', entered the UK charts at number 21 in October 2004, ahead of Bjƶrk and Slipknot, and held a second week at number 33 without a record contract, distributor, agent, manager or promoter. Since then, they've followed up with several top 40 singles and albums, playing sell-out crowds across the UK, Europe and Asia.
