The programme covers a significant portion of their discography. You can expect to hear tracks like Yesterday Once More, Goodbye To Love, Close To You, Only Yesterday, Top Of The World, Sweet Sweet Smile, and Jambalaya. Beyond the standard hits, the production incorporates specific medleys that break up the set. They’ve put together a selection of songs by The Beatles, including Please Mr Postman, Ticket To Ride, and Help, alongside a Bacharach & David medley featuring Do You Know The Way To San Jose and Always Something There To Remind Me. The set also draws from the Voice of the Heart album. The entire performance runs for approximately two hours, giving the band enough time to move through these different sections of the repertoire.
The vocals are handled by Carole Gordon. Her background includes touring with Tammy Wynette, various BBC appearances, and recognition from the British Country Music Association. She also runs Full House Productions, the company behind these tours. She’s joined on stage by the Blue Jeans Band & Singers. This group consists of musicians and vocalists who have built up experience performing in London’s West End and on international cruise liners like the QE2 and the QM2.
Tickets for the performance in Eastbourne are priced at £28.00. It’s a production aimed at those interested in the music of The Carpenters and the nostalgia of that era. Since the show lasts for two hours, it’s worth planning your evening around that timeframe, as the setlist is quite comprehensive.
