Immersive dining experience pairing a five-course menu with iconic films Ratatouille and Pulp Fiction.
Taste Film is bringing its immersive dining experience to the Harbour Hotel Brighton this autumn, with two different screenings running across October and November. The whole idea is that you watch a film while eating a menu designed to match it, with each course served in sync with the scenes on screen. It's not just a dinner with a movie playing in the background; the food is timed to what's happening in the story.
The Brighton season opens with Ratatouille, which runs from 27 October to 1 November. If you're more into Tarantino, Pulp Fiction follows shortly after, from 25 to 29 November. Both screenings come with a five-course menu: four food courses and one cocktail or mocktail per person. The menu is tailored to each film, so what you're eating changes depending on which one you book.
Taste Film was founded by Amy Fernando and has already popped up in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. Before landing in Brighton, it's run screenings of Chef, Shrek 2, Home Alone, and The Princess and the Frog, so the films they pick tend to be well-known titles rather than obscure finds. The Brighton launch season sticks to that, pairing a Pixar favourite with a Tarantino classic.
