Immersive cinematic dining experience pairing a five-course menu timed to the film Ratatouille at the Brighton Harbour Hotel.
Taste Film is bringing Ratatouille to the Brighton Harbour Hotel this autumn, and it's their first time doing a show in the city. If you haven't come across them before, the whole point is immersive cinematic dining: they pair a film with a multi-course menu served in sync with what's happening on screen. So when the characters are eating, you're eating too.
This one is Ratatouille, and the menu is built around the movie's little chef. It's four courses and a cocktail or mocktail, all timed to the action. There's even a bit where you get to season your own special soup alongside one of the film's most memorable scenes. If you're vegan, there are options for that as well.
Taste Film was started by Amy Fernando, and they've done this in London, Manchester and Edinburgh before this. They've brought films like Chef, Shrek 2, Home Alone and The Princess and the Frog to life, and they describe this particular one as a 'tasting menu for the whimsical' — a feast for dreamers, food lovers and anyone who believes in following their passions. They're also known for tickets going fast, so it's worth picking a date early.
