Singer-songwriter Tallulah Rendall brings her full band for the final night of her 'Only Human' UK tour at The Folklore Rooms.
Tallulah Rendall brings her full band to The Folklore Rooms on Sunday 25 October, the final night of her Only Human UK tour. It's her seventh album, a cinematic journey through love, healing, vulnerability and what it means to be fully human, and the show is built around it. The set pairs her vocals and songwriting with cello, piano, double bass, drums and vocal harmonies, drawing on her own experiences of panic and burnout. Support comes from Atton=Raon, the project of Sam Walker.
There's a bit more to Only Human than the record itself. The tour also celebrates a Limited Edition Album Book, which opens the 'Only Human Being' online portal via QR code. That portal holds demos, remixes, Qi Gong, sound meditations, Loving Kindness practices and a podcast with Marc Marot on music and mental health. Rendall set out to build it as a platform of musical and physical resources to support mental health and nervous system wellbeing, so the album is part of a wider project that goes beyond the songs.
On the music side, her song 'I Am Enough' was chosen by Mary Greenwell for BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, and the new single 'Run', filmed with light artist Bruce Munro, is out now. The full band on stage means the record gets its full arrangement — cello, piano, double bass, drums and those vocal harmonies — rather than just a stripped-back version. With the support from Atton=Raon, it's a full night of music.
