Brighton's queer hyperpop and bass night featuring hyperpop, bubblegum bass, EDM, donk and hardcore, with proceeds supporting gender-affirming care.
Sweat is back at The Rossi Bar on Friday 11 September, this time teaming up with CTRL-ALT-DEL for a night they're calling POP HITZ. It's a birthday edition, and all proceeds from the night go towards Toby's gender-affirming care.
If you've come across Sweat before, you'll know it as Brighton's queer hyperpop night. It's a bass-heavy affair that's built its following on a mix of hyperpop, bubblegum bass, EDM, donk and hardcore, alongside the venue's favourite 'slutty tunes and remixes'. That's the core of it: a high-energy, queer-led night that doesn't shy away from the louder, more synthetic end of the dancefloor. The addition of CTRL-ALT-DEL for this one points towards a pop-focused theme, so expect the 'pop hits' part of the title to be taken quite literally.
It's also a fundraiser. The organisers have run birthday editions as fundraisers before, with the proceeds from a previous one going towards gender-affirming care, and this one follows the same pattern. So your entry fee goes to a specific cause rather than just into the till.
