18+ birthday show for Sugar-Free Records with live music from Other Half, Tummyache and more across two floors of The Hope & Ruin.
Sugar-Free Records are celebrating their birthday at The Hope & Ruin on Saturday 23 January, with a full night of live music. The bill is headed by Other Half and Tummyache, and it's a birthday show for the label itself, so it's as much a party for the people behind the scenes as it is a gig.
There's a fair bit more on the bill than just the top two. Joining them are prom, H_NGM_N, Had Sandy, Aeternum, Moving Day and Mulch, so it's a long run of acts rather than a couple of sets. The night is billed as a 'psychic & wellbeing event' as well as a birthday show, and it's spread across both floors of the venue: the 150-capacity room upstairs is where the music happens, and the ground-floor bar stays open before and after the gig. The bar serves draft lagers, beers, ciders and the pub's own Mosaic Pale Ale.

It runs from 18:00 to 23:45, and since the venue stays open until 2am on Saturdays, you've got plenty of time to linger downstairs after the last act has finished. Tickets are Β£13 in advance for the 6pm start, with a Β£15 standard guide price, and entry to the ground floor is free. The whole night is strictly 18+.
