A hi-fi demonstration comparing four popular music streamers within the same system at Audio T.
Audio T is hosting Streaming is Believing on Saturday 10 October, a hi-fi demonstration that puts four popular music streamers head-to-head within the same system. The whole point is to hear them side by side, so you can judge the difference for yourself rather than relying on a spec sheet. It's a morning session, starting at 10:30, so it's more of a coffee-and-music kind of thing than a late-night gig.
If you're not familiar, Audio T is the UK's oldest independent specialist Hi-Fi retailer, and the Brighton shop is one of several across the country, with others in Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Manchester, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, Swansea and Swindon, plus an online store. They stock brands like Roksan, Monitor Audio, Audio Note, Naim, Linn, Dynaudio, Sonus Faber, REL Acoustics, McIntosh and Bluesound, and the team has visited the Audio Note factory right here in Brighton. The shop's blog is written by the staff themselves, who share their own listening experiences and product knowledge. One of the contributors is Ade Pollard, a former maths teacher who spent 30 years at Blatchington Mill School in Hove before 'retiring' into the world of Hi-Fi.

That's the kind of background you'll find behind the counter there — people who've spent years listening to gear and talking about it. The demo follows that same line: four streamers, one system, and the chance to hear how they stack up against each other. It's a straightforward way to get a feel for the differences between them without having to swap out half your kit to try them. The session runs on Saturday 10 October from 10:30 at Audio T in Brighton.
