A music quiz party that combines your favourite songs with a quiz format, featuring chart classics and live entertainment.
Sounds Familiar is at The Walrus on Thursday 28 January, from 18:30 to 22:30. It's a music quiz that runs across the city's bars, and this session takes place at 10 Ship Street, BN1 1AD.
They pitch it as more than just a quiz: a party that pairs your favourite playlist with live entertainment. The rounds are built from chart classics, old skool anthems, indie bangers, mash-ups, power ballads and guilty pleasures, with more than 100 tunes spanning the 1960s to the present day. It's the sort of thing that works if you've got a broad taste in music, because the rounds pull from different eras and styles rather than sticking to one particular decade or genre.
The format is described as a combination of your favourite music and the quiz, and the sessions run across the city's bars. It's a long one, four hours in total, so you'll want to bring a team and settle in for the evening. The music covers a lot of ground, from the 60s right up to now, so there's plenty of room for different generations to chip in.
