American punk band Snot performing live at Chalk in Brighton.
If you have been following the local music scene for a while, you might have noticed that Snot is returning to the stage this year. The American punk band, originally formed in Santa Barbara back in 1995, is scheduled to perform at Chalk on Monday, 15 June 2026. It is a bit of a shift for the group, as this current iteration features Andy Knapp as the new frontman and guitarist Doc Coyle, known for his work with Bad Wolves, stepping in to fill the roles of members who are no longer with the band. Since their reactivation in 2025, they have been appearing at various festivals like Welcome To Rockville and Motocultor, and there is talk of new material arriving in 2026.

For those who remember their 1997 debut album, Get Some, the band’s sound was defined by a mix of punk rock, hardcore, and funk, which gained them a specific following alongside bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit. The original run of the band ended abruptly in 1998 following the death of vocalist Lynn Strait, and while a tribute album titled Strait Up was released in 2000, seeing them live now offers a different perspective on that legacy. The venue, Chalk, is located at 13 Pool Valley, Brighton, BN1 1NJ, and the event is open to anyone aged 14 and over.
Regarding the logistics, doors are set to open at 18:30. While there is some variation in the reported start times, you should plan to arrive around that 18:30 mark. Tickets are currently priced around £27.50, though some platforms list them starting at £28.79, so it is worth checking the official ticketing sites like DICE, See Tickets, or Gigantic to secure your spot. There is no official setlist available yet, but given the band's history, it is reasonable to expect a mix of their 90s tracks alongside the newer material they have been working on recently. It is a straightforward opportunity to see a band that has had a complicated history finally back on the road.
