Indie-pop band The Hoosiers perform live at Chalk in Brighton as part of their 'Compassions' tour.
The Hoosiers are heading to Brighton this autumn as part of their UK tour to promote their seventh studio album, Compassions. It has been nearly two decades since the band first gained recognition with their debut, The Trick To Life, which featured tracks like 'Worried About Ray' and 'Goodbye Mr A'. Since forming in Somerset in 2003, they have maintained a consistent presence in the indie-pop and rock scene. This current tour follows a series of festival appearances throughout 2026, including slots at Summer Fest At The Beach and Electric Heart, alongside a support tour earlier in the spring. They are using these dates to introduce their latest work, including the new single 'Sleeping With The Light On'.

The show is taking place at Chalk, located at 13 Pool Valley, on Friday, 16 October 2026. The venue has become a regular spot for live music in the city, with a schedule that includes artists like The Undertones, Slayyyter, and Transvision Vamp throughout the year. For this specific event, the doors are set to open at 19:00, with the performance expected to finish by 22:00. If you are planning to attend, it is worth noting that the venue has set an age restriction of 14 and over. While some other dates on their tour allow younger fans if they are accompanied by an adult, the policy at Chalk is strictly 14+, and the venue does not issue refunds for those under the age limit.
Tickets for general admission are priced at £30.30. This figure is comprised of a face value of £27.50, plus a £0.60 donation to the charity Music For Youth. For those looking for a more comprehensive experience, there is a VIP package available for purchase. This includes a meet and greet with the band, an official photo, a signed lanyard, an exclusive print, and a signed copy of the setlist. Whether you are a long-time listener of their earlier indie-pop hits or are interested in hearing the new material from Compassions, the event provides an opportunity to see the band in a venue setting.
